Hello! We’re River and Hamish, the proud hosts behind Lilypad Stays. Our name was inspired by the idea of moving from one “pad” to another while always keeping that cosy, welcoming feeling intact. We strive to create welcoming “pads” that feel like home, no matter where your journey takes you.

Based in beautiful Abingdon, we’re a couple united by our love for travel, nature, and adventure. Our journeys have led us across the globe, with Hamish exploring diverse cultures and landscapes working in tourism worldwide, while River pursued a Zoology degree following safari trips- both deepening a lifelong passion for the natural world. Throughout our experiences, we discovered just how vital it is to find a cosy and comfortable space that feels like home, whether for business, relocation or leisure.

This shared experience inspired us to create Lilypad Stays—thoughtfully designed spaces that offer all the comforts of home.
